B2B Trade Sales Support Agent

Join the largest revenue-generating department at United. Our Sales teams work closely with travel agencies, United travel departments and corporate clients.

Overview The role is responsible for maximizing the contracted / managed agent and corporate customer experience by offering comprehensive service and sales support. The role is an integral part of sales and compliments field sales efforts by handling service-related issues and achieving a mutually beneficial resolution for the travel trade, customers and United.

Responsibilities • Provide inside sales support via telephone and email to travel agency and corporate accounts across multiple European markets • Serve as the primary point of contact for service related issues within Europe’s sales organization for United’s contracted agent and corporate customers • Provide reservation-related (PNR) and post-ticketing assistance to contracted agents and corporate customers; to offer innovative solutions that create win/win situations for both the customer and United Airlines • Provide timely and informative responses to contracted agent, corporate customers and field sales inquiries in a professional manner • Coordinate with other United divisions (i.e. baggage, reservations etc.) to mediate and resolve customer issues • Track services offered to the customers • Responsible for maintaining communication with the sales team • Ensure the highest level of customer services is maintained


This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.


**Must be fluent in written and spoken English and French. Additionally, additional European language(s) is preferred


Education • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ equivalent work experience required

Knowledge/Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required • Knowledge up to the level of BA1 / BA2 Ticketing and or ticket refunds experience • Ability to work under pressure and flexibility with working shifts anywhere between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday including public holidays on a Rota basis • Good PC skills, particularly with Word and Excel required • A logical thinker with excellent planning and organizational skills required • Customer focused and good at problem solving required • This position requires a pro-active team player with a positive attitude • Must be fluent in English & French (written and spoken) • Preferred: Fluency in and additional European Language Experience • Airline and or travel agency work experience required • Airlines systems / GDS proficiency required • Deep understanding of Fare construction and associated rules • High level of customer service skills, phone and email manner.


Other • Must be legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom/EU for any employer without sponsorship • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
